Q: What should I wear?

A: As an OUTDOOR VENUE, we request guests check the weather report and always DRESS FOR COMFORT. Michigan weather can change quickly, and layers will be your best bet for looking and feeling great. We advise folks to consider a sun hat for summer and a favorite jacket or coat for cooler days.

Q: Any advice about shoes?

A: Walking across grassy or graveled areas will be a part of your big day. Wedges and wider heels are your friends. Please consider that the grass may be damp from dew if it’s early or if it’s been rainy.

Q: What time does the event or reception end?

A: All guests should plan to depart no later than 10:30 PM. The venue CLOSES at 10:30 PM. Music, microphones & amplification end 30 minutes before that at 10 PM.

Q: When will the bar close?

A: Bar service must end one hour before the end of your event, no later than 9:30 PM. We do NOT allow self-served alcohol; no BYBO, no flasks, no parking lot drinking.

Q: What time does the Rehearsal Dinner end?

A: All guests should depart by 10PM the day before the wedding.

Q: What’s the setup for restrooms?

A: We two indoor restrooms, one standard unisex and one unisex handicapped-accessible family restroom with baby change station. Both are located in the pole barn, which is a short outdoor walk from the venue. (~200 ft)

Q: What is the terrain like?

We have flat and sloped areas at the farm. Please be aware of UNEVEN GROUND and VARIED SURFACES including bumpy wild field/grass areas, gravel, pea gravel, and wooden decking.

Q: Do you assist those with mobility challenges?

A: Yes, we have a golf cart available to transport those who need assistance.

Q: What if it rains?

A: Our Greenhouse Venue works as a ceremony space in the event of rain. We will make that decision day-of two hours or more before the event/wedding begins. The Greenhouse is dry inside. Hosts will ask a few of guests ahead of time to be go-to helpers if this happens so the hosts can get the tables and chairs reset quickly in a new configuration, if needed.

Q: Will it be hot?

A: Part of the fun of a farm wedding is being out in nature. Our Greenhouse Venue has a specially-designed plastic that reflect infrared waves (heat) while allowing other wavelengths of sunlight in for the plants. We also have 7 industrial steel ceiling fans, and the sides roll up to almost six feet high. This keeps the temperatures to about the same or slightly cooler than outside ambient temperature.

Q: Will it be cold?

A: The Greenhouse is designed to hold in heat and warmth when closed. The sides roll easily fully down on the Greenhouse, so this allows us to adjust for changes in wind and weather. We do not have extra heat inside the Greenhouse, so please dress for the weather.
