Chard is a nutritious and colorful cooking green in the same family as spinach and beets. One cup of cooked chard provides you with your daily allowance of vitamins K and A. We typically add swiss chard to sauteed vegetables or we add it to sauteed onions with a bit of soy sauce, water (for braising), and a dash of sugar. When greens are wilted and tender, we stir in toasted walnuts. Tasty side dish.
